How an OG Pilot Office Ladies remake could deliver 3ร more listens and $50K+ in sponsor upside
Day 4 of #100DaysOfOGRemakes looked at the Office Ladies podcast. The show is a rewatch conversation with Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey. The share cards were the opposite of that: blank "no image available" tiles. This page is an exploratory remake. The listen and sponsor figures are the scenario on the page, not a measured campaign for the show. The useful part is the failure mode. A podcast people love can still be invisible in a feed if og:image is empty.
The problem: empty tiles miss the episode
Default tiles carry no episode hook, no guest, and no host. A share cannot surface the quote or the moment that would make someone press play. Sponsors also lose the frame their name would have sat in, so the preview does not help the CPM conversation. The episode page may be full of show notes. The crawler never received an image, so the chat app invented a placeholder. That placeholder is what gets cached.
The concepts on this page were generated in OG Pilot as episode-shaped cards: host photography, the episode title, and a layout that reads at chat size. You can treat them as a template for any show. Swap the art, keep the structure, and stop shipping a different PNG from a design tool every Tuesday. The gallery has more podcast and page templates. Generate a card from an episode URL when you want a file for one link first.
What a generated episode card changes
OG Pilot can take a show's palette and type and fill a template with the episode title and art. In this concept, every channel becomes a teaser instead of a gray box. The 3ร listen model and the sponsor upside are the page's illustration of what that teaser is worth if the click-through moves. Use them to explain the stakes. Do not quote them as the show's actuals.
The same pattern shows up in other remakes. The Nike store remake is a retail campaign whose creative never reached the unfurl. The Brooklyn Botanic Garden remake is an event page that needed a date on the image. A podcast is closer to the event case than the store case: each URL is a new episode, and the card should say which one.
Publish a real image URL
Check an episode URL and confirm og:image is an absolute https file, not a missing tag. The API docs show how to sign a podcast template from your site. MCP can debug the tags on a guest session and generate an image once an account with an active plan is connected. Compress the file if the artwork is right but the bytes are over the limit a chat app will fetch.
