How do one-off images work?

Paste any URL and we auto-pull the title, description, colors, and logo to generate branded OG images. One-off generations don't require a domain connection and typically return two variations so you can pick the best fit.

What happens when I connect a domain?

Connecting a domain unlocks autopilot: OG Pilot can generate and serve images for your pages, keep everything on brand, and roll the results into your analytics dashboard. You'll also get an API key for fully programmatic control.

How does domain verification work?

We'll give you a DNS TXT record to add, like _ogpilot-verification with a token value (for example, ogpilot=...). DNS propagation can take a few minutes to a few hours, and we verify ownership once the record is live.

How is the API kept secure?

API requests use signed JWTs tied to your API key and domain. We verify the issuer, require a verified domain, and enforce rate limits to keep traffic safe.

What are credits and how are they used?

Credits are used only for one-off image generations. Each plan includes credits that refresh with your billing interval, and you can top up any time if you need more. Credits are not used for domain connections or API requests.

What happens if I go past the page limit?

You can upgrade to the next tier or reach out for a custom plan. We'll always show your current usage so you can decide before anything changes.
